The assay is only as good as the sample behind it. Our inspectors take representative samples during loading and discharge — manual or automatic — then reduce, homogenise and split them under sealed chain of custody, preparing settlement, umpire and reference portions for all parties. The same sealed sample can feed straight into our accredited laboratory.

Quantity is half the contract. We determine and witness cargo weight by the method that fits the operation — weighbridge, belt scale or draft survey — and reconcile it against B/L and shore figures. Combined with moisture determination, that turns wet tonnage into the dry, payable weight the deal actually settles on.

Our inspectors attend the vessel and terminal throughout the operation — checking hold and stockpile condition, supervising loading and discharge, guarding against contamination and loss, and documenting every step. The result is a clean, defensible record that protects buyer, seller and financier alike.

Material sitting in a shed or on a yard is collateral, and it has to be verified. We attend warehouses, terminals and stockyards to establish and confirm the quantity, identity and condition of stored concentrates and metals — for owners, traders and the banks financing them.
